Job Overview:

A Reviver onsite interpreter plays a crucial role in facilitating effective communication between individuals who speak different languages. Interpreters listen to a speaker in one language and accurately render the message into another language, either consecutively or simultaneously.

Interpreters act as a communication bridge across various settings, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and professionalism while maintaining cultural awareness and neutrality. This role requires strong linguistic proficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in dynamic environments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide consecutive and/or simultaneous interpretation during meetings, appointments, or other interactions.
  • Accurately interpret spoken communication, ensuring the original meaning, tone, and intent are preserved.
  • Simplify complex information into clear and understandable language when needed.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to all applicable privacy and professional standards.
  • Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and support effective communication between all parties.
  • Remain impartial and professional at all times, avoiding personal opinions or influence.
  • Stay up to date with language usage, terminology, and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications:

  • Professional fluency (spoken and written) in English and at least one additional language.
  • Minimum 1–2 years of professional interpreting experience.
  • Strong communication and listening skills.
  • Demonstrated adherence to interpreter ethics: confidentiality, accuracy, and impartiality.
  • Ability to work independently, manage schedules, and adapt to different environments.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to travel to multiple locations if required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Formal interpreter certification (e.g., from recognized interpreting organizations).
  • Completion of a professional interpreter training program (e.g., 40-hour training).
  • Experience across diverse settings such as corporate, legal, community, or public services.
