Description: 
The Interpretation Manager/Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of interpreters, ensuring the quality and consistency of interpretation services provided by the organization. This role involves planning, organizing, and managing interpretation projects and mentoring interpreters, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The Interpretation Manager/Supervisor collaborates with other departments to ensure that language needs are met across the organization. 
 

Key Responsibilities:  

  • Supervise, mentor, and support a team of interpreters, ensuring high performance and professional development.  

  • Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide feedback.  

  • Manage scheduling and assignments for interpreters to ensure coverage for all language needs.  

  • Monitor and evaluate the quality of interpretation services to ensure accuracy and consistency.  

  • Implement quality control procedures and standards.  

  • Handle client feedback and resolve any issues related to interpretation services.  

  • Oversee interpretation projects, including planning, coordination, and execution.  

  • Collaborate with other departments to assess and address their interpretation needs.  

  • Prepare reports on the performance and outcomes of interpretation services.  

  • Develop and enforce policies and procedures related to interpretation services.  

Qualifications:  

  • Bachelor’s degree in Linguistics, Communications, or a related field.  

  • Certification as a professional interpreter is preferred.  

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in interpretation. 

  • 1 year in a supervisory or managerial role (Preferred).  

  • Strong understanding of interpretation practices, standards, and ethics.  

  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.  

  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
